Prayer Letter April, 2018

Letter, April 2018

In the month of April I was busy traveling.
I started the month in the city of Juliaca, preaching a leadership conference at the Light of Grace Baptist Church. We had a wonderful time there with Pastor Percy Lopez.

Pastor Percy started the church there seven years ago, and the church continues to grow.

My good friend and former student, David Yanapa, also ministers there in Juliaca. David is from the Light of Grace Baptist Church, and since graduating from the seminary last year he has gone out and begun a ministry of his own.

Pray that God blesses his efforts, that a church might be established in this very needy area, and that many souls might come to Christ. At the end of April we visited the cities of Rosario and Santa Fe, both in the province of Santa Fe.

There are large sub-groups that live in the city. For example, a friend of mine told me that there is a community of around twenty-thousand Jews that call Rosario home. There is also a large community of Gypsies, and many Bolivian immigrants that live there.

The city of Rosario, Argentina

There are large sub-groups that live in the city. For example, a friend of mine told me that there is a community of around twenty-thousand Jews that call Rosario home. There is also a large community of Gypsies, and many Bolivian immigrants that live there.

Due to the drug trafficking that takes place there, Rosario has the highest crime rate in all of Argentina. Even though Rosario sits inland, because of the Paraná River, cargo ships are able to track inland and farmers are able to ship grains from the farms of Northern Argentina to Europe. There is also a good bit of sex trafficking in the city as well. Rosario is a city that is in desperate need of the Gospel.

Prayer Points:

  • Pray for us as we are making the transitions from learning to starting a ministry.
  • Pray for safety as we travel.
  • Pray that we might have wisdom in all the decisions that we will be making in the next six months.
  • Pray that God might save souls, restore families, and raise up workers through our ministry.
