“What a full and exciting first month in Argentina!”

Prayer Letter December, 2018

Letter, December 2018

What a full and exciting first month in Argentina! We spent Christmas eating some traditional Christmas foods.

We drank hot chocolate on Christmas Eve, even though the temperature has been in the high 80’s-low 90s, and at midnight, there were fireworks like in every other Latin American country.

I finished off this year preaching at Temple Baptist Bible Church. This was my first time preaching in Argentina. Since we arrived we have been looking for a house.

Me preaching my first message here in Argentina.

There are plenty of houses available, but the laws in Argentina make it incredibly difficult to rent, especially for a foreigner.

There are ways around some of these things, and that is what we are learning. This is all part of learning the culture here, and there is definitely a learning curve. Please pray that we can move into a house quickly!
This is the first step in establishing a ministry here. In the meantime we are attending, and helping in, one of the two Baptist churches here in the city.

The people there have been super helpful. Also during this time I have been witnessing, and doing some ground work for starting a church.

Rosario:

The city that we live in is known as the “City of the Flag” for it was here that the Argentine flag was designed and first flown.

Prayer Points:

  • Pray that we find a house quickly and get settled.
  • Pray that God would save people through our ministry.
  • Pray that we would be ready to launch the church in the first part of this year.
