“Thank you again for all that you do for us.”

Prayer Letter January, 2019

Letter, January 2019

Thank you again for all that you do for us. Many of you contact us through emails, cards, or social media to encourage us.

It always means a lot to us that you reach out like that; it is always up-lifting. As we look at 2019 I’m excited to see what God is about to do here in Rosario. We need you to pray much for us this year.

We are still in the process of getting established here in the city. We have been looking for a house since the first week we landed, but a lot of things move more slowly here than they do in the States. As I write this letter it looks like we will sign on a house sometime in the second week of February. Once the contract is signed we will furnish it, then we will still need to purchase an automobile, and complete the process of obtaining our residency. Please be in prayer for these pressing matters.

I have had the opportunity to witness to several people while we have been here. Also in the month of January I had the opportunity to preach three times, once in Bible Baptist Temple, and then twice at the Bible Baptist Church. I greatly enjoyed preaching to the people of these two congregations. We attend Bible Baptist Temple while we are getting established here, and they have been such a blessing in helping us. They had a very special service the first Sunday in February, as missionary Steve Thornton stepped down as pastor of the church and turned the church over to Pastor Hernan Ortiz. Brother Thornton is currently getting ready to start another church in the city. Pray for both of these men as they launch out into new ministries.

Prayer Points:

  • That we obtain our residency quickly.
  • That we finish getting established and settled into a home.
  • That God might direct us to the best location to start a church.

I am so happy for all the good news. Am I understanding that the new pastor is a native there? So the missionary can move on to fresh fields to serve? Thanks for sharing your lives with us and letting us share in the work by prayer.
