Prayer Letter June, 2018
Letter, June 2018
I want to start our prayer letter off by praising the Lord for providing for us. We are temporarily living in North Carolina as we are here for a short furlough, and many people in our church and community gave to help us find and setup a temporary residency. We are blessed to have such a generous church family and friends! God has used them to be a great blessing in our lives.
News about argentina
In the month of June Argentina had a historic vote on abortion. An abortion bill was passed in their congress after more than 22 hours of debate. This bill would allow abortions to take place in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy. Currently abortion is illegal except in cases of rape or when the life or health of the woman is at risk, and even then the abortion has to be approved by a judge. This bill will now be passed on to the Senate where it will be voted on in September. President Mauricio Macri is opposed to the bill but has said he will not veto the bill if it is passed by both houses.

PUTTING IT IN PERSPECTIVE
At the end of this year we will be moving to the city of Rosario. Rosario is the third largest city in Argentina. With the greater city area of Rosario reaching 1,276,000 as of 2012, it is almost equivalent to the combined population of the cities of Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina. Please pray for the city of Rosario, and the two Independent Baptist churches laboring there!
- That we receive all our paperwork for moving to Argentina quickly and easily.
- That we have safety as we travel.
- That God would be preparing the hearts of people in Rosario to receive the Gospel.
