“What Kind Of Life Are You Buying With Your Time?”

“What Kind Of Life Are You Buying With Your Time?”

On the last day of December, the last day of the year, I read the book of Ephesians.
thought what a appropriate verse to read as my eyes ran across the words in chapter
five verse sixteen.
Ephesians 5:16 “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.’’
We are to redeem our time. Make the best use of it. We are given a limited time in the life. We do not know what day will be our last.James puts it this way.
James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
The minutes that each of us have in this life are limited. Each of the 1,440 minutes that you have in your day will be spent somehow. You can never have them back. No refunds for bad days, sorry.
Psalm 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
These minutes are like money. Money is limited, and since it is limited you can only make a certain number of purchases. You have the option of wasting your money on cheap things, or foolish things, or you can purchase useful, quality goods. It’s your money and it’s your choice.
The same is true about our lives. What kind of life are you purchasing with the time that you have? A life of regret and shame? A life of purpose and joy?
Spend your time wisely this year, and with it purchase a good life.

Three Conversations:

Last Thursday the Lord opened up an opportunity for me to witness to three different men. Carlos #1: Carlos is a plumber who came by the house to modify some of the pipes so we could install a dishwasher. When he had finished his work, he and I talked for close to an hour. I gave him a tract and explained the purpose of our move to Argentina.
