In April we began to look for a place to start having services. I found two places on the same day. The first place is a temporary location that we can rent for $70.00 per use. The other is a garage that we can sign a contract on. The rent would be around $220.00 a month. I have spoken to the real estate agency about the garage and we are working towards getting the things needed to sign a contract. The temporary location has been reserved and we will begin services there shortly.
The month of April is a busy month of celebrations. Emily’s birthday is the 8th and our anniversary is on the 10th. We celebrated 15 years of marriage this year. I thank the Lord for Emily. She has been a faithful wife and help meet, and she is a wonderful mother. That she has done all this with deputation, language school, and moving to the mission field over these last few years is astounding. In the last three years we have moved three times, among three different countries.
Also on the 23rd Savannah celebrated her 7th birthday. She is our crazy child. Every family has one and Savannah is ours.
Our city is known as the ice cream capital of Argentina. While South America in general is not known for it’s ice cream, Argentina is, and of all the cities in Argentina, Rosario is said to have the best. It is artisanal ice cream, and was mainly developed by the large influx of Italian immigrants decades ago. There are several ice cream parlors in each neighborhood, and during the sweltering summer months they are always busy.
